Beth Maitland:Oh Remember that bad guy trying to be good? Well he made it.
Ladies and Gentleman, the outstanding daytime supporting actor is Stephen
Nichols of Days of our Lives.

Stephen: Well I've never done this before. I would just like to simply thank the
entire cast of Days of our Lives for supporting me from the very beginning, and
especially Al Rabin and Shelly Curtis because I wasn't meant to stay in Salem
very long. It's because of their support and their allowing me to just experiment
and do what I do, that I'm still there, and I really want to thank them. And I want
to thank my children for putting up with me all these years, and my wife Lisa,
and the man upstairs.

Below: The best actor nominees are announced just after each actor's
story "recap" airs. The recaps are funny "send offs" of the actual story.
The "montage" voice over says Kayla is upset with Steve for buying
hamburgers for dinner again, and forgetting the Ketchup packets.
(Uhm, it's probably one of those "jokes" you have to hear for yourself <wink>).

I want to say hello to my mother. I want to thank my beautiful children, who have given me so much inspiration; and everybody please give your kids a hug when you go home.	I want to thank Al Rabin, Shelly Curtis, Ken Corday, everyone at Days of our Lives, cast AND crew...everybody who gives me hugs and support every morning, and all day long, even when I am very difficult to work with.
